See\u00a0<a  rel=\"nofollow\" href=\"https:\/\/na2.salesforce.com\/help\/doc\/en\/creating_text_email_templates.htm\">Creating Text Email Templates<\/a>.<\/li>\n<li><strong>HTML with letterhead<\/strong> &#8211; Administrators and users with the &#8220;Edit HTML Templates&#8221;\u009d permission can create HTML email templates based on a letterhead. See\u00a0<a  rel=\"nofollow\" href=\"https:\/\/na2.salesforce.com\/help\/doc\/en\/creating_html_email_templates.htm\">Creating HTML Email Templates<\/a>.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Custom HTML<\/strong> &#8211; Administrators and users with the &#8220;Edit HTML Templates&#8221;\u009d permission can create custom HTML email templates without using a letterhead. You must either know HTML or obtain the HTML code to insert in your email template. See\u00a0<a  rel=\"nofollow\" href=\"https:\/\/na2.salesforce.com\/help\/doc\/en\/creating_custom_html_email_templates.htm\">Creating Custom HTML Email Templates<\/a>.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Visualforce<\/strong> &#8211; Administrators and developers can create templates using\u00a0<a  rel=\"nofollow\" href=\"https:\/\/na2.salesforce.com\/help\/doc\/en\/pages_about.htm\">Visualforce<\/a>.\u00a0Visualforce\u00a0email templates allow for advanced merging with a recipient&#8217;s data, where the content of a template can contain information from multiple records, see\u00a0<a  rel=\"nofollow\" href=\"https:\/\/na2.salesforce.com\/help\/doc\/en\/creating_visualforce_email_templates.htm\">Creating\u00a0Visualforce\u00a0Email Templates<\/a>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>All of these email templates can include text, merge fields, and attached files. You can also include\u00a0<a  rel=\"nofollow\" href=\"https:\/\/na2.salesforce.com\/help\/doc\/en\/email_template_images.htm\">images on your HTML and\u00a0Visualforce\u00a0templates<\/a>. You can use email templates when you send an email from the Activity History related list of a record. Text and HTML templates can also be used when you send mass email. If you have permission to manage public email templates, click\u00a0<strong>Setup<\/strong> |\u00a0<strong>Communication Templates<\/strong> |\u00a0<strong>Email Templates<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Click on the name of any email template to go to the\u00a0<a  rel=\"nofollow\" href=\"https:\/\/na2.salesforce.com\/help\/doc\/en\/admin_viewing_emailtemplates.htm\">Viewing Email Templates<\/a> page.<\/li>\n<li>To edit or delete a template, click\u00a0<strong>Edit<\/strong> or\u00a0<strong>Del<\/strong> next to the template name in the list.<\/li>\n<li>Click\u00a0<strong>New Template<\/strong> to create any type of email
