{"id":184,"date":"2010-05-17T21:32:06","date_gmt":"2010-05-17T16:02:06","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/JitendraZaa.com\/blog\/?p=184"},"modified":"2010-05-17T21:32:06","modified_gmt":"2010-05-17T16:02:06","slug":"problems-with-parallel-rfc-servers-in-sap","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.jitendrazaa.com\/blog\/others\/sap\/problems-with-parallel-rfc-servers-in-sap\/","title":{"rendered":"Problems with parallel RFC servers in SAP"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Generally, the transaction RZ12\u00a0\u00a0is used to create and edit RFC server groups for parallel execution of RFC enabled ABAP procedures and functions.\u00a0 Using these parallel RFCs, we can reduce the overall execution time of long running jobs.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Below\u00a0are\u00a0rare facts about the configuration of RFC servers in RZ12:<\/p>\n<p>1. While configuring the resources which will be assigned to RFC servser groups; we will find that the &#8220;Determination of Resources&#8221; section allows to enter the preferences for the amount of system resources that will be allocated to the group.\u00a0 Here, the problem is, the data entered \u00a0for these parameters is not RFC server group specific. Its actually application group wide, just like all the other profile parameters.\u00a0 So, if we edit\u00a0\u00a0RFC server group assignment row\u00a0 and change its any field value, we change its corresponding application servers profile parameter\u00a0and this change affects all RFCs running in the application server. This can be verified by opening any other RFC\u00a0 server group.<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/jitendrazaa.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/05\/RZ12.png?ssl=1\"><img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-medium wp-image-185\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/jitendrazaa.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/05\/RZ12-248x300.png?resize=276%2C380&#038;ssl=1\" alt=\"\" width=\"276\" height=\"380\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>2.\u00a0 As we know the profile parameter\u00a0 &#8220;rdisp\/rfc_check&#8221;\u00a0 enables the\u00a0dispatcher check for asynchronous RFCs\u00a0(checks whether the sufficient Dialogue work processes are available for processing the asynchronous RFC calls)\u00a0and its default value is 2 but if we change it to 3 then the both Synchronous and Asychronous RFCs can be monitored. I would suggest to take a view of available Dialogue work processes and the documentation changing this value.<\/p>\n<p>3.\u00a0 If the parallel RFCs are being used to generate the periodic replacement list using transaction code EG88 then it calls the function EGTUR.
