  1. Click\u00a0Start<\/strong>, click\u00a0Run<\/strong>, type\u00a0Gpedit.msc\u00a0in the\u00a0Open<\/strong> box, and then click\u00a0OK<\/strong>.<\/li>\n
  2. Under\u00a0Computer Configuration<\/strong>, expand\u00a0Administrative Templates<\/strong>, and then click\u00a0System<\/strong>.<\/li>\n
  3. In the\u00a0Settings<\/strong> pane, right-click\u00a0Turn off Autoplay<\/strong>, and then click\u00a0Properties<\/strong>.Note<\/strong> In Windows 2000, the policy setting is named\u00a0Disable Autoplay<\/strong>.<\/li>\n
  4. Click\u00a0Enabled<\/strong>, and then select\u00a0All drives<\/strong> in the\u00a0Turn off Autoplay<\/strong> box to disable Autorun on all drives.<\/li>\n
  5. Click\u00a0OK<\/strong> to close the\u00a0Turn off Autoplay Properties<\/strong> dialog box.<\/li>\n
